patuco is a platform by touchIT - Technology, Lda. that connects pet owners with service partners. This policy explains which data we collect on this website, why, for how long and what your rights are, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Portuguese Law no. 58/2019.

1. Data controller

2. Data we collect

On this website we only collect the data you send us through the forms: name, company, e-mail, phone, district/municipality, areas of interest and the message you write. We also record the IP address, the browser used, the language and the date and time of consent, to prevent abuse and to prove consent.

3. Purposes

To answer your messages; to process partner pre-registrations and contact you to complete the registration; to send the newsletter or the app launch notice, when you request it; and to keep the website secure.

4. Legal basis

Your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time, and, for partner pre-registration, pre-contractual steps at your request (art. 6(1)(b)). Abuse prevention relies on our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)).

5. Retention period

Contact messages are kept for up to 24 months after the reply. Partner pre-registrations until the registration is completed or, at most, 24 months. Newsletter and waitlist subscriptions until you unsubscribe.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell or transfer your data. We use hosting and e-mail delivery partners in the European Union, bound by contract to comply with the GDPR. Data may be disclosed to authorities when required by law.

7. Your rights

You may access your data, correct it, request its erasure or the restriction of processing, object to processing, request portability and withdraw consent by writing to geral@patuco.pt. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).

8. Cookies

This website only uses strictly necessary cookies (session and chosen language), which do not require consent. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Changes

This policy may be updated, in particular when the app is launched. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last update.
